JOAN JOBHOPPER
Joan JobHopper is the pen name of Martha Bross Lindberg, a lifelong worker, musician, teacher, and storyteller who held 39 different jobs from age eight to age seventy-one. Her working life has taken her through libraries, schools, churches, medical offices, music halls, pizza shops, census routes, computer labs, and many unexpected places in between.
In Fun On The Job, Joan looks back with humor, honesty, and a sharp memory for the small details that make every job memorable. Her stories celebrate ordinary workers, changing times, and the strange, funny, tiring, and meaningful moments that come with earning a living.
